We all know Dracula as a blood-sucking monster – but did you know he was a dad too?
Selena Gomez is set to replace Miley Cyrus in the upcoming animated comedy Hotel Transylvania, reports E! Online. She will play Mavis, Dracula’s teenage daughter. Adam Sandler voices Dracula, the owner of a resort specifically for monsters and their families. Things turn sour when a normal human, played by Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg, comes across the hotel.
Genndy Tartakovsky is directing the film, which features the voice talents of many top comedic actors. David Koechner plays Quasimodo and David Spade takes on Griffin the Invisible Man. Kevin James is Frankenstein, opposite his bride, Eunice, played by Fran Drescher. Cee Lo Green stays true to his rap roots as Murray the Mummy, and Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon are werewolves, Wayne and Wanda.
The 3D comedy heads to theaters September 21, 2012.
Now I just hope that Gomez comes out with a new song for the movie! Her most recent single “Hit the Lights” off of her When the Sun Goes Down album can be seen above.
