Broadway Casting News: The Low Down From ‘Godspell’ To ‘Seminar’

Here’s the 411 on which of your favorite stars are heading to the Great White Way!

Deborah Cox heads back to Broadway for the first time since she played the title role in Aida in 2004.  The R&B singer will star in  Jekyll & Hyde alongside American Idol alum Constantine Maroulis.  You can find out more in my article for, here.

Singer/actress Raven-Symoné is currently starring as  Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act.

David Strathairn and Jessica Chastain head to Broadway this fall in the revival of Ruth and Augustus Goetz’s The Heiress.

Corbin Bleu, who made his Broadway debut in In The Heights, returns to Broadway as Jesus in Godspell.  He will replace Hunter Parrish beginning April 17.

A new Broadway musical called Prince of Broadway, celebrating legendary director and producer Harold Prince, debuts this fall.  The cast includes Sebastian Arcelus, Sierra Boggess, Daniel Breaker, Shuler Hensley, LaChanze, Linda Lavin, David Pittu, and Emily Skinner.

Christie Brinkley reprises her role as Roxie Hart in Broadway’s Chicago for an exclusive three weeks, April 6-27, to be followed by another two weeks on the National Tour in May.

Justin Long joins Jeff Goldblum in Theresa Rebeck‘s Seminar beginning April 3.
